2009 Würzburg Abtsleite Traminer Spätlese trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Slightly reductive nose with light lactic and volatile notes, prominent floral and herbaceous notes, some lychee, kumquat, bay leaf and a hint of bacon, hint of ashes, prominent earthy and mineral notes, slightly morbid acacia notes. Ripe, juicy, creamy fruit on the palate, yellow spice, dried floral aromas, candied orange zests and herbs, some more acacia flowers, full-bodied with noticeable warm alcohol, but also has a firm grip, hint of honey in the background, prominent aromatic bitter note typical of the variety, very slightly muted, hint of ashes, sweetish and creamy on a very good finish.
