2019 Mittelburgenland DAC Ried Kohlenberg Blaufränkisch Reserve trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Firm, rather tart aroma of predominantly dark berries and a little cherry with slightly earthy-vegetable tones, dried floral nuances and tobacco. Tart, juicy fruit with slightly smoky, toasty and tobacco wood spice, peppery notes, a little cocoa and coffee, some persistence, noticeable alcohol which integrates well with air, at first still a little drying, then also clearly more harmonious tannin, black olives and dried herbs in the background, very good finish with salty and nutty hints, warm juice and a touch of bacon.
