Wine Review Report :

wein.plus rating: Excellent (90 WP)
Last reviewed: 27 June, 2019
Editor note: Firm, fairly deep nose, light animal notes, smoked bacon, black berries, hint of tobacco, light earthy notes. Firm tart, dark fruit on the palate, full body, fairly prominent smoky, toasted oak, light acid bite, firm tannins, still quite youthful, cocoa and coffee in the background, salty and earthy notes, persistent, some depth, noticeable warm alcohol, peppery spice and dried herbs on a very good, tart, ripe, juicy finish. Appears to habe closed down once again.
Best to drink: 2020-2027+

Editor note: Fairly mature nose, black berries, nutty notes, tobacco and undergrowth, tarry notes, spicy with a hint of mushrooms, earthy and mineral notes. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, spicy and light toasted notes, persistent, some spicy tobacco and cocoa, fairly well integrated tannins provide backbone, smoky traces, tarry notes in the background, full-bodied, has substance, but also polished, some depth, more spicy oak, pepper and chocolate on a very good firm, fairly juicy finish.
Best to drink: To 2024+
