2022 Hebsacker Berg Lemberger VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Herbaceous, firm, slightly tobacco-like and ashy, woody scent of black berries with cherry notes, plums, leather, tree bark, and earthy tones. Firmly structured dark fruit with smoky, tobacco-like and ashy wood notes, a hint of bittersweet chocolate and coffee grounds, crumbly-sandy tannins, a background of salt, good sustainability, a touch of dates on the palate, has power, some depth, a hint of grilled vegetables and pepper in the background, very good, firm finish with dark juice and again bitter, smoky and slightly ashy wood notes.
