The winery is located in the community of Lachen-Speyerdorf, a district of Neustadt an der Weinstraße (area Südliche Weinstraße) in the German wine-growing region Palatinate. In 1995 the winery started with its own vinification and bottling. Today the company is managed by Jürgen and Armin Andres. The vineyards cover 22 hectares of vineyard area. They are planted with the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Auxerrois, Chardonnay, Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscatel and Gewürztraminer, as well as the red wine varieties Blauer Portugieser, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Schwarzriesling, Regent and Acolon. The cultivation is carried out according to natural, environmentally friendly criteria. These include only fertilization with organic substances, reduction of chemical plant protection to a minimum, greening with various herbs and grasses, and strengthening the vines against diseases using plant extracts. Vinification is carried out according to the principle of "omission", which means that there is hardly any intervention in the cellar. The musts are always fermented spontaneously.
