2018 Bürgstadt Spätburgunder trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm, slightly smoky scent of red and black berries with juniper-ethereal notes and a hint of tar. Clear, tart, relatively cool fruit, herbal and moderately woody notes, a hint of mushrooms in the background, dark ethereal spice, salty hints, crumbly-sandy tannin, good persistence, still young, very good, quite firm finish with tart juice and spice.
