2018 Bürgstadt Hundsrück Spätburgunder trocken "J", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm, somewhat developed, iodine and floral aroma of ripe black and red berries with dried herbal aromas, a little bacon, liquorice, pepper and meat juice. Ripe, juicy, firm, rather dark fruit, toasty wood notes and malty flavours, some juniper, peppery nuances and bacon, mushroomy nuances, lasting, noticeably salt in the background, peppery notes, very good, slightly chocolaty finish with bite and warm and cool elements at the same time.
