2016 Bürgstadt Centgrafenberg Pinot Noir trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Somewhat herbal, undergrowthy, nutty, delicately peppery and slightly mushroomy aroma of mixed berries and a little cherry with a hint of plum and ethereal nuances. Ripe, quite firm, tangy fruit with smoky and nutty wood aromas, noticeably crumbly tannin, good persistence, pepper and mint in the background as well as hints of cocoa and marzipan, salty and chalky tones, very good finish with nutty wood aromas again.
