2016 Bürgstadt Centgrafenberg Frühburgunder trocken "J", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Ripe, somewhat nutty, dried herbal and slightly mushroomy nose of predominantly red berries with floral aromas and a hint of laurel. Quite tightly knit, ripe fruit with some spicy wood aromas, present, fine sandy tannin, good substance and persistence, not eternally deep, pepper, wasabi and hints of liquorice in the background, has power and a certain warmth, a hint of peppers and mushrooms in the very good, again grippy finish.
