The winery is located in the municipality of Feuersbrunn (Neufang 52) in the wine-growing region of Wagram(Lower Austria). It is run by Josef "Joe" and Christine Bauer, the fourth generation of the family... The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vines in the Hengstberg, Pfarrleithen, Rosenberg and Spiegel vineyards, mostly on slopes or terraces. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner (50%), Riesling,Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay (85%) and with the red wine varieties Blauburger, Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (15%). In the near-natural cultivation, the resistance of the vines, the promotion of beneficial insects with the use of predatory mites and the confusion method with pheromone traps are used for plant protection, and chemical treatment is reduced to a minimum.
The quality criteria are low forms of cultivation, yield reduction and optimal water management due to the climatic conditions. Depending on ripeness and wine type, vinification ranges from whole bunch pressing to longer maceration and chilled fermentation. The white wines are mostly matured in stainless steel tanks. The red wines mature in large wooden bar rels or up to 24 months in French barrique barrels. The premium wines of the house include Grüner Veltliner Spiegel Alte Reben, Grüner Veltliner Rosenberg, Riesling Pfarrleithen and the red wine cuvée "Bella Viktoria" (Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon) matured for 18 months in new barriques. In years with suitable weather conditions, sweet wines are also produced. The winery is a member of the Vereinigung Weingüter Wagram.
