2015 Thermenregion Chardonnay Reserve trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Nutty, spicy oak on the nose, delicate smoky notes, hint of tobacco, pomaceous fruit, restrained citrus and melon notes, floral traces, light mineral notes. Quite full-bodied on the palate, ripe, polished fruit, light nutty, spicy oak, good persistence and substance, very elegant acidity, salty notes in the background, hint of tobacco, light grip, some depth, still young, integrated alcohol, some marzipan, more smoky, spicy oak on a very good polished finish.

Editor note: Fairly firm nose, light vegetal notes, light yellow fruit, peppery and mineral notes, light floral traces. Ripe, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, nutty notes, hint of iodine, vegetal notes, some caramel, hint of smoked bacon, fairly persistent, ample integrated tannins, light toasted oak, very creamy, noticeable warm alcohol, hint of tobacco and ashes, good to very good spicy warm finish.
