2006 Thermenregion St. Laurent trocken Reserve, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Editor note: Banana and some elegant red berry fruit on the nose, youthful with quite sweet oak. Full-bodied and velvety on the palate, loads of sweet red berry fruit, delicately spicy coffee notes, some baked plums and cloves, supple and lively, nevertheless one notices the elegant acidity provides backbone, delicate mineral traces in the background, sweet oak still fairly prominent, but already quite well integrated, has real substance, good long finish. Needs time to develop.
