The vineyard "Langmann vulgo Lex" is located in the municipality of Langegg (St. Stefan ob Lainz) in the Austrian wine-growing region of Western Styria. The estate has been owned by the family since 1746, and a vineyard was first mentioned in a document in 1793. A family-owned document reports about a high distinction of the estate at a Schilcher wine tasting in Stainz in 1909. A Buschenschank and a guest house are attached. Stefan Langmann sr. is responsible for the operation, he is supported by Stefan jr. (cellar and presentations) and his brother Günter (cellar and vineyard). The vineyards cover 16 hectares of vines in the areas Greisdorf, Hochgrail and Langegg at the southern foothills of the Koralpe. It is dominated by the Schilcher vine Blauer Wildbacher with 85%, the rest is shared by Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller, Gewürztraminer, Müller-Thurgau, Sämling 88, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc and Welschriesling. The white wines are vinified classically, the red wines internationally. New is the in-house sparkling wine cellar, where bottle-fermented sparkling wines are produced from the 2005 vintage onwards. There are also produced Schilcher Steirischer Junker, Schilchersekt (often awarded), Schilcherfrizzante and different noble brandies. The winery is a member of the Schilcher protection association Weißes Pferd.
