2019 Randersacker Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs "Hohenroth", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Quite firm and deep, rather dark and slightly nutty aroma of partly preserved black berries with a hint of Amarena cherries, cocoa and dried herbs. A little preserved, warm, juicy fruit with some spicy and slightly toasty wood tones, crumbly, still youthful tannin, good substance and persistence, ethereal nuances in the background, has power, a hint of salt, very good, again somewhat toasty and peppery finish with slight alcohol warmth.
