Editor note: Cool, firm nose, hint of bacon and mushrooms, earthy and dried vegetal notes, partly preserved red and black berries. Partly preserved, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, some sugar candy and a hint of chocolate, integrated tannins, light acid bite, hint of citrus zests, good persistence, slightly salty in the background, spicy traces, some sugar candy on a very good juicyfinish.
Best to drink: To 2020+

City on the Rhine in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate with about 25,000 inhabitants at the mouth of the Nahe river into the Rhine at the foot of the Rochusberg.
