2021 Silvaner VDP.Gutswein trocken "Sehnsucht", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Somewhat floral pome fruit nose with a hint of stone fruit, hints of dark fruit, herbs, a little aromatic smoke and nuts as well as minerality in the background. Firmly woven, youthful, juicy fruit with lively acidity and noticeable grip of ripe tannin, herbal-vegetable flavours on the palate, black berry nuances, persistent, some depth, quite distinct minerality, nutty traces, still little developed, very good, tight finish. Needs to mature a little more.

Best to drink: Mitte 2023 bis 2028+. What our ratings mean
