Hoflößnitz is located in the municipality of Radebeul in the German wine-growing region of Saxony. It can look back on a wine-growing tradition of over 600 years, dating back to 1401. Until the 19th century, the historic ensemble was the centre of stately viticulture and the site of courtly festivities in the Elbe Valley. At the beginning of the 20th century, a state viticulture testing and teaching institute was built. Today the complex is owned by the city of Radebeul and includes a vineyard museum, a winery, a wine tavern and a guest house. The facility is a listed building. The managing director is Jörg Hahn, and Felix Hößelbarth has been the cellar master since 2008

The vineyards cover eight hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites Goldener Wagen and Johannisberg (Radebeul). They are planted with the white wine varieties Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Traminer and Riesling, as well as with the red wine varieties Regent and Pinot Noir. The vineyards are cultivated according to the guidelines of organic viticulture. This means, among other things, the development of an active soil life through micro-organisms, the promotion of beneficial insects, the consistent renunciation of chemical agents and the exclusive use of organic fertilisers with the aim of producing healthy and high-quality grapes. Certified organic wines are produced
