2018 Michelbach Steinberg Spätburgunder VDP.Erste Lage trocken "Magnificum", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Quite firm, somewhat smoky, nutty, woody and mushroomy aroma of predominantly black berries and a little cherry with herbal hints. Very ripe, partly preserved, dark fruit with smoky and nutty wood aromas, a hint of soy beans and nuances reminiscent of paprika powder, noticeably crumbly tannin, good substance and persistence, some depth, a little salty minerality, hints of herbal pickles and bacon, very good, only especially with air also a little compote finish with a hint of malt.
