2020 Winningen Uhlen Roth Lay Riesling Grosses Gewächs, Mosel, Germany

Somewhat herbal, yeasty and slightly fennel-like nose with rather calm yellow fruity aromas, a hint of dark fruits, slightly ethereal spice, dried mushrooms as well as floral, delicately rooty and mineral tones. Firmly woven, juicy, dense, slightly sweet fruit with fine acidity and lots of grip, black berry and floral tones on the palate, rhubarb, some herbs and again also fennel, tart, firm mineral foundation, a touch of dates, dark ethereal spice in the background, very good, firm, juicy finish, again with grip.
