2017 Mundelsheim Käsberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Somewhat vegetal, slightly floral and hints of smoky nose of predominantly red berries with tarry-earthy nuances as well as some juniper and leather. Tart, tightly knit fruit that becomes juicier with air with smoky and nutty wood flavours, some bite, quite present tannin that is still drying a bit, salty tones in the background, dried mushrooms, very good, tart, somewhat toasty and spicy finish with grip and increasing juice
