2014 Untertürkheim Mönchberg Merlot trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Slightly cedary spicy oak on the nose, red and black berries, some tobacco and a hint of blood. Ripe, juicy and clear fruit on the palate, light smoky, roasted and again cedary oak, youthful, mature tannins, light milky notes in the background, good substance and persistence, some tobacco and salt, ripe to good on occasion, ripe fruit herb juice and some smoky wood notes.
