2019 Wachau DAC Ried Steinriegl Chardonnay Smaragd® trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Floral and somewhat herbal nose of partly candied citrus fruits with a hint of stone fruit and herbal notes. Citrus accentuated, youthful, sweet fruit, lively acidity, fresh herbal and slightly floral tones, delicate grip, black berries in the background, mineral traces, some persistence, herbal flavours, good to very good, again sweet finish with bite. Not easy to identify as a Chardonnay.
