2020 Niederhausen Hermannshöhle Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Nahe, Germany

Firm, dense and deep, rather cool, tart citrus and stone fruit scent with fine, quite fresh planty aromas, a hint of smoke and tobacco as well as clear, tart minerality. Very firm in the mouth, restrained, tangy fruit, yeasty, tobacco notes and almost extreme, especially with air downright dominating minerality, nutty yeasty spiciness, persistent, gripping, spicy and concentrated, still barely developed, deep and complex, a hint of sweetness, long, compact, juicy, spicy and grippy finish with bright tobacco flavours. Needs a lot of air to show what it can do and develops more into a cool, deep, complex and at the same time delicate beauty.
