2017 Niederhausen Hermannshöhle Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Nahe, Germany

Very firm, extremely deep nose, prominent herbaceous aromas, restrained yellow fruit, hint of tobacco, yeasty and floral traces, tremendous minerality. Compact, deep and also very elegant on the palate, tart, restrained fruit, polished, elegant acidity, moderate tannins, persistent, concentrated and deep, fairly cool tranquil style, hint of juniper in the background, herbaceous notes, very firm, stony mineral notes, very elegant style, complex, perfectly balanced, long, beguiling finish, gripping in a very subtle way. A masterpiece.
