2017 Odenheim Königsbecher Pinot Noir Grosses Gewächs trocken, Baden, Germany

Firm, somewhat smoky, nutty and peppery, with air also animalic scent of more red than black berries with some dried herbs, bacon as well as mushroomy, vegetable and earthy nuances. Tart fruit with tomato-vegetable notes and almost cool juice, smoky wood aromas again, pepper, herbs and a little fennel, persistent on the palate, quite present, ripe tannin and a certain acidity, hints of blood orange, earthy tones, certain minerality, very good, tight, juicy, quite fresh finish with tart spice and with air also slight bitterness.
