2014 Tiefenbach Spiegelberg Pinot Gris Grosses Gewächs trocken, Baden, Germany

Typical, pistachio-like, nutty, delicately vegetal, earthy to mineral and noticeably woody aroma of pome fruit, some yellow melons and light tobacco. Tart, juicy, polished, relatively cool fruit with lively, fine acidity, nutty aromas and still slightly brittle wood, good substance and persistence, a hint of root vegetables and mushrooms in the background, salty hints, a hint of tobacco and herbs, has bite, still young, very good finish. Needs to mature a little more.
