2018 Leithaberg DAC Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Firm and quite deep, tart aroma of black berries with still slightly reductive notes, fleshy-animalic tones and a little earthy background. Taut, tart, cool, juicy fruit, noticeable acidity and youthful, fine tannin, persistent on the palate, herbal and peppery flavours, again also meaty hints, persistent, certain depth, has freshness and tension, very good, tight finish with tart black fruit, salt and dark spice.
