2015 Leithaberg DAC Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Firm, cool, polished nose, blackberries and cherries, still slightly reductive and closed, earthy, herbaceous and peppery notes. Clear, polished, cool, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, delicate herbaceous and peppery notes, floral traces, very fine youthful tannins, still unapproachable, light acid bite, hint of tobacco and oak, bay leaf in the background, firm structure, good to very good cool finish. Needs time to mature.
