2013 Blaufränkisch trocken Alter Berg, Burgenland, Austria

Firm, deep, polished nose, sour cherries and raspberries, herbaceous traces, moderate oak, ethereal traces, fairly prominent mineral notes. Clear, brilliantly clear, tart, juicy, fairly polished fruit on the palate, very fine youthful, silky tannins, refreshing, appealing bite, nutty and herbaceous traces, persistent and concentrated, also very elegant, mineral notes, still largely undeveloped, peppery traces, cool style, improves and opens up with aeration over several days, very cool style, becomes even more elegant and deeper, clear contours, salty notes on a tart, juicy, long finish. Definitely needs time to mature.
