2019 VDP.Gutswein trocken "Rondos", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Tart aroma of black berries and some cherries with smoky, bacony nuances, a little pepper and dry herbal notes. Quite firm, tart dark fruit, clearly smoky wood spice, slightly sooty tones and peppery ethereal notes, good persistence, some power, warm and cool elements, youthful, fine sandy tannin, a hint of mint, good to very good, tart finish with bite.
