Editor note: Translate to English Klarer, eher herber Duft nach überwiegend dunklen Beeren mit Kirsch- und Zwetschgentönen und einem Hauch Tabak. Auch im Mund recht herbe Frucht, etwas erdig und getrocknet-pflanzlich bis tabakig, ein Hauch getrockneter Pilze, altholzig wirkende Noten, feinstaubiges Tannin, gewisse Nachhaltigkeit, mineralische Anklänge, feiner Saft, noch jung, guter Abgang.

One of the five specific wine growing areas in the Austrian province or generic wine growing area Burgenland. In 2016 a restructuring took place with partial changes in the designations and area boundaries. Central Burgenland was not affected by this, however; name and boundaries remained the same.
