2009 Mittelburgenland DAC Blaufränkisch Reserve trocken Biiri, Burgenland, Austria

Rather firm and quite deep aroma of ripe black berries and cherries with dried herbaceous and slightly tobacco aromas, moderate, slightly nutty wood tones and fine spicy and floral tones. Ripe, firm, quite juicy and still amazingly fresh dark fruit with a certain acid bite and firm, ripe tannins, dense and persistent on the palate, very slightly smoky and tobacco wood notes, has substance and depth, salty mineral tones, some toasting, very good, firm, juicy and a few peppery spicy finish with dried herbal notes and again moderate wood. In great condition

Firm, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, spicy oak, some peanuts, cassis in the background, vegetal and herbaceous notes, some more earthy and mineral notes, full-bodied but also cool, persistent nad has some depth, still closed, tart, cool juicy as well as mineral notes on a very good finish.
