Editor note: Translate to English Nussig-holzwürziger Duft nach teils eingemahcten, reifen schwarzen und etwas roten Beeren mit Kirschnoten, zart getrocknet-vegetabilen Nuancen und ein wenig Trockenkräutern. Reife, geschliffene, saftige Frucht, etas nussiges und schokoladiges Holz, kräuterige Nuancen und ein wenig Getreide, feinsandiges, leicht trocknendes Tannin, nachhaltig am gaumen, etwas Karamell, im Hintergrund Salz, fester Bau, sehr guter, saftiger, aber auch ein wenig holzig-trocknender Abgang.

Editor note: Plums and cherries on the nose, vegetal notes, fairly prominent oak. Concentrated on the palate, elegant and persistent fruit, oak already well integrated, fine tannins, elegant and has substance, very well made, cool with delicate mienral traces, shows origin and varietal character, hint of dark chocolate on a good finish.

One of the five specific wine growing areas in the Austrian province or generic wine growing area Burgenland. In 2016 a restructuring took place with partial changes in the designations and area boundaries. Central Burgenland was not affected by this, however; name and boundaries remained the same.

The Celts and Romans already practiced viticulture here. According to legend, the Franconian emperor Charlemagne (742-814) also visited this area. Cistercian monks from Burgundy brought the grape varieties Blaufränkisch and Pinot Gris (Pinot Gris) with them in the Middle Ages and cultivated...
