2020 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Dirnbeck Sauvignon Blanc trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Vegetable, reminiscent of root vegetables, also very slightly fennel-like nose with restrained yellow fruity aromas, a little green and also black berries, green bacon, lard, yeast and smoky traces. Ripe, firm, tangy fruit, root vegetables, pepper and ethereal herbs, some acidity, present, crumbly tannin, distinct minerality, a little dark spice, hints of cumin, very good, firm, tart finish with grip and juniper nuances.
