2013 Süd-Steiermark Ried Kranachberg Sauvignon Blanc trocken G STK, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Slightly smoky and woody-spicy scent with distinct planty, slightly nutty and somewhat tobacco notes, ripe yellow and green fruits in the background, stinging nettle, lemon grass, a hint of black berries and quite distinct, rather dark minerality. Dense, juicy and strong in the mouth, rather tart fruit with slightly smoky and nutty wood spice, fine, yet present vegetal aromas, earthy-mineral in the background, fine acidity and slightly sandy tannin grip, lasting, much power but no heaviness, cool herbal nuances, salt and also black pepper, still young, very good to long finish.
