2018 Spätburgunder trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Somewhat mushroomy, herbaceous and hints of smoky-sooty aroma of partly preserved cherries with a hint of blackberries and mint. Straightforward, slightly sweet fruit with nuances reminiscent of resin, still somewhat drying tannin, smoky and nutty wood flavours in the background, certain persistence, a hint of pepper and salt in the good to very good finish.
