2005 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Palestina, Alto Adige, Italy

Fairly mature nose, earthy and mineral and light vegetal notes, smoky, undergrowth, touch of soup green, blackcurrants, hint of bell peppers. Clear, fairly polished and juicy on the palate, fairly cool, ripe dark fruit, touch of smoky, toasted, spicy oak, undergrowth again, earthy, mineral and vegetal notes, fairly prominent, predominantly mature tannins, good substance and persistence, full-bodied but also quite elegant, has some depth, cedary traces, beginning to show some maturation notes, nutty and earthy notes, juicy with some spicy oak on a very good finish. In excellent shape now, but also good for a few more years of development.
