2004 Thermenregion Merlot trocken Reserve, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Red berries, cherries and plums on the nose, prominent spicy oak and light vegetal and roasted notes. Smoky and roasted notes on the palate, light hint of chocolate, red and black fruit, tannins still slightly astringent, quite a striaghtforward style, slightly oaky and astringent again on the finish.
