2006 Süd-Steiermark Ried Nussberg Sauvignon Blanc, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Cool, very firm nose, prominent herbs and spices, candied citrus fruit and pomaceous fruit, hint of red and black berries, some elderberry, green vegetables and mineral notes. Crystal clear, juicy, fairly firm fruit on the palate, herbs and spices, extremely elegant acidity, very persistent, good depth, full-bodied but also elegant, still youthful, elegant spice, spicy vegetal and mineral notes on a firm, juicy finish.

Editor note: Lively nose, herbs and spices, coriander and leeks, citrus fruit, green vegetables, fairly prominent green bell peppers, mineral traces in the background. Very full-bodied, both firm and creamy on the palate, loads of ripe fruit, prominent vegetal and herbaceous notes, extremely elegant, firm acidity, very persistent, complex, great depth, tart mineral notes, some more coriander spice, still quite youthful, very well balanced, very long finish.

Editor note: Firm, deep nose, spicy grassy notes, green berries, apples, some citrus fruit and elderberries, mineral traces. Firmly structured on the palate, elegant fruit, spicy vegetal notes, hint of pulses, elegant acidity, prominent mineral notes, full-bodied and fairly creamy, deep and very persistent, still quite youthful, long, complex finish.
