2003 Süd-Steiermark Ried Nussberg Sauvignon Blanc trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Quite a sweetish nose, physalis, candied and very ripe citrus fruit, hint of melon, herbs and spices, nutty notes. Very full-bodied, sweetish, creamy and mouth-filling, warm ripe fruit on the palate, fairly moderate acidity, very persistent, floral and nutty notes, also some more light herbaceous notes, markedly ripe style, but not showing any signs of age, noticeable alcohol, very good persistence and depth, quite a long alcoholic finish. More typical of the vintage than of its origins, but surprisingly lively.
