2001 Süd-Steiermark Ried Nussberg Sauvignon Blanc trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Surprisingly cool nose, tart mineral notes and tobacco, melon, ripe apples, green vegetables and celery, typical grassy notes, nutty traces and some caramel in the background. Full-bodied and creamy on the palate, loads of ripe fruit, caramel and some more delicate tobacco, extremely elegant acidity, persistent and deep, tranquil, mature style, fairly warm in spite of the cool mineral notes, excellent balance, quite complex on a very long finish.
