2018 Schelingen Kirchberg Spätburgunder trocken Réserve, Baden, Germany

Quite firm aroma of ripe rose hips, strawberries and also black berries with a little Mediterranean herbs, dried flowers, tobacco and a touch of malt as well as distinct floral notes and some pomegranate. Ripe, quite juicy fruit with toasty and a little chocolaty wood spice, crumbly, sandy, ripe tannin, some bite, ethereal traces in the background, some persistence, warming alcohol, a touch of tobacco, a little flowing contours, but gains freshness and precision with air, very good finish with salt notes.
