2018 Schozach Spätburgunder VDP.Ortswein trocken ***, Württemberg, Germany

Quite clearly floral nose with very slightly muted red and black berry notes, earthy tones and a hint of tobacco. Slightly warm, partly preserved and a touch sweetish fruit, fine sandy, rather crumbly tannin, herbal and a hint of tobacco, some persistence, cocoa spice, nutty tones and salt in the background, good to very good finish.
