2018 Schozach Roter Berg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Somewhat dried-vegetable nose of partly cooked red and black fruits with lots of malt, herbs from Provence and a hint of tar. Warm, tart, again partly cooked fruit, slightly brittle wood, cocoa and coffee notes, in the background again dried-vegetable tones, sandy tannin, smoky notes, some mushrooms, slightly rustic character, noticeable alcohol, ethereal nuances, a little laurel and pepper, good to very good finish.
