1999 Kleinbottwar Lemberger Spätlese trocken Brüssele'r Spitze, Württemberg, Germany

Woody and smoky, slightly animal scent of cherries and black berries with a note reminiscent of gunpowder. Quite juicy fruit with toasty wood spice, relatively fine-grained tannin, mineral note on the palate, good substance, still very slightly rustic touch, yet also with clear, sustained fruitiness on the palate, excellent balance, good length.

Best to drink: In weit besserer Verfassung als eine im letzten Jahr verkostete Flasche. Bis 2005. What our ratings mean
