2020 Großwallstadt Silvaner Ortswein trocken Alte Reben, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm and quite deep, still undeveloped, smoky and yeasty fragrance with quite distinct vegetal and restrained yellow fruity aromas, hints of dried herbs, mushrooms, bacon and tart minerality. Firmly woven, youthful, quite dry fruit, smoky, nutty and a little perfumed-woody tones, lively acidity and lots of grip, persistent on the palate, quite dense, some depth, mineral in the background, has power and some melting, very good, firm, smoky-spicy, again also a little wood-perfumed finish. Definitely needs to mature.
