2018 Klingenberg Spätburgunder Ortswein trocken "Steinterrassen", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Nutty and cautiously toasty, slightly peppery-spicy, quite fine aroma of black and red berries with cherry notes and a little Mediterranean herbs. Quite firm, tart, rather dark fruit, nutty and hints of malty notes, pepper again and a little toasty wood, present, ripe, grippy tannin, smoky nuances and dry herbs, salt in the background, very good, tangy finish with some woody and also a little dark ethereal spice.
