2020 Nierstein Frühburgunder trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

A somewhat smoky, nutty, and slightly dried-floral nose with more dark than red berries, reminiscent of pepper, anise, and grilled paprika nuances. Ripe, herb-juicy fruit with a certain acidity bite, some nutty and spicy wood aromas, as well as a hint of sour cherries and suggested bay leaf, fine-grained tannin, some sustainability, with cigar tobacco and dark spice in the background, good to very good finish.
