2001 Rüdesheim Berg Schlossberg Riesling, Rheingau, Germany

Very intense aromas of apples and peaches, accompanied by very elegant minerals and spices. An incredible explosion of elegant fruit, minerals and acidity on the palate at the outset, with gripping mineral notes, depth and persistence on the palate, tobacco and spice in the background, good grip, delineated and an incredibly long finish. Fascinating, even thrilling - a really great wine.
