2018 Chardonnay VDP.Gutswein trocken -S-, Pfalz, Germany

Rather cool, firm, nutty, slightly yeasty and clearly vegetable to slightly herbaceous citrus fruit nose with smoky nuances and minerality. Clear, still youthful, light, juicy fruit, nutty and slightly smoky tones, some yeast, lively, fine acidity, certain melting on the palate, mineral tones, light wood notes, good persistence, a trace of roasting, moderate tannin grip, has enamel and almost also some warmth, very good finish. May mature further

Editor note: Cool, firm nose, fairly prominent yeasty and elegant vegetal notes, light yellow fruit aromas, prominent mineral notes, nutty and delicate floral aromas. Firmly structured, tart, light fruit on the palate, chalky mineral and yeasty notes, elegant, fairly lively acidity, noticeable tannic grip, persistent, still undeveloped, some depth, cool style, very good, tart finish. Still needs a little time to mature.
